KSO stands for “Khalisah Stevens’ Opinion” and can be pronounced as ‘Kay Es Oh’ or as ‘queso’ (like manchego or parmesan). While both are fine, the latter is more in compliance with the spirit of the KSO Standards. Modelled after the ISO standards only in terms of name and with reckless disregard for quality or assurances.
