CV and Portfolio

I try to write outside of work. Some days it feels like my fingertips are tap dancing furiously across my keyboard, while on other days, the only thing I can type after eight hours of emails and meetings is ‘pizza’ into a delivery app.

The arc of my career has taken me from an intern’s desk at an NGO to digital project management as a content manager and a sustainability consultant in tourism. The transferrable skills that carried me across all my roles and industries have been my soft skills: writing, people management, and problem-solving. I also spoke at TEDxBarcelona once.

Continuous Improvement

Never too old to learn. There are too many courses out there that I’d love to take on, but here are the big ones that I was able to complete and pass. The Certificate in Regenerative Destination Management is a course offered by the GDS-Academy where the faculty and students are a mix of destination professionals, tourism academics, organisers of the UN COP, and more. I took this course in 2021 and was chuffed to get the certificate after 10 long weeks of studying.

Then at the end of 2022, I took the GSTC sustainable tourism course in Sevilla, completed the exam online, and received the certificate in 2023. On a Friday too, so that made the weekend all the more sweeter.

The KSO Standard is where I post about working at the GDS-Movement and my general observations and thoughts about sustainability.
